Springfield is home to several renowned medical centers. These include Baystate Health, a state of the art teaching hospital which received the 2006 Award for Quality for its care of cardiac patients, and Mercy Medical Center, a comprehensive medical facility recognized for outstanding care by US News and World Report. Springfield 's world-famous Shiners Hospital for Children is part of a network of 22 pediatric hospitals in the U.S., Canada and Mexico providing specialized care for orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate.

Transportation:
This region is free from the heavy traffic congestion found in Eastern Massachusetts, Boston, Southern Connecticut and New York, while permitting access to all of New England and New York.

Highways:
We are at the cross roads of two major highways. Traveling east-west is the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) and north-south is Interstate I-91. The highways provide quick access to major cities, Boston, Worcester, Hartford, Providence, and New York along with the mountains of Vermont for hiking and skiing or the coast of Connecticut and Rhode Island for boating and beaches.

Airports:
We have easy access to Bradley International Airport (BDL) where parking is never a hassle and there is no need to worry about getting stuck in city traffic on your way to catch a plane. If you do need the service of Boston's Logan Airport (BOS) or New York's John F Kennedy Airport (JFK) you are an hour and a half drive to Logan or a two and a half hour drive to JFK.

Trains and Buses:
We also have Amtrak train service to New York City, Washington, D.C., and Boston and we have bus service provided by Peter Pan Bus Lines or Pioneer Valley Transit Authority for local bus service.

Arts and Entertainment:
We are locally home to the highly acclaimed Springfield Symphony Orchestra , City Stage and Majestic Theaters, Springfield Museum of Fine Arts, Basketball Hall of Fame, the Springfield Falcons hockey team, and the United Soccer Leagues Western Mass Pioneers. Less than an hour's drive away are the beautiful Berkshires with all it has to offer including Tanglewood, the summer home for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Jacob's Pillow Dance, the Norman Rockwell Museum, and world class shopping, restaurants and galleries.
